Occupied 2005

Yee Hong Garden Terrace is composed of two buildings containing 308 seniors’ residential apartments. Yee Hong, as the developer, maintains an interest in the project in perpetuity because the units are held on the life lease model. Careful planning has resulted in a thriving and vibrant community within the Garden terrace.

The interior amenity spaces and landscape elements are extensive and allow Yee Hong to manage a broad-range of programming for residents. The elevator lobby spaces on each floor are generous, allowing residents to mingle with their immediate neighbours. The stately ground floor lobby spaces accommodate gatherings as the seniors assemble to join structured and informal activities.

The double happiness character informs the building elevation which consists of brick and EIFS. The figure 8 connects the two car courts and provides a safe walking loop for residents. An indoor walking circuit connects both buildings with a glass link which also features a greenhouse. The Feng Shui elements of water and fire are embodied in a fireplace and water feature at both entrances.
