The site was acquired by the church from a technology company and was re-zoned from Employment use to allow for a Senior Community Center and Place of Worship. The new addition includes a modern 785 seats theatre with a mezzanine, church offices, classrooms, gallery, and youth center.
The design of the church was revised post-tender to transform the sanctuary from a single purpose church use into a state of the art theatre which can accommodate other user groups within the City of Markham. Fixed theatre seating replaced movable seating, an advanced
LED screen replaced projection technology, audio-visuals systems were upgraded for amplifed concert sound, and sophisticated stage lighting controlled from a central control booth were introduced to create a performance venue that is considered one of the best in Markham.
